So-Un International Gallery,Zofingen, Switzerland
It is a great pleasure for me to congratulate the organizers of the Israeli Art Exhibition
in Switzerland for their initiative and the outstanding results. This art display not only
shows the vibrant diversity of the art being created in Israel but also proves that Israel
is much more than what we usually hear in the news. I wish the artists, the exhibition,
I.C.U. and the other initiators of this project a well-deserved success.
Aviv Shir-On, Ambassador of Israel in Switzerland
I have the pleasure of extending a warm welcome in my gallery So-Un International Art in
Zofingen, Switzerland, to the 24 Israeli artists who are participating in the exhibition
organized by the I.C.U. - International Cultural Union for encouraging international art.
It is a great honor for me that cultural contacts between Switzerland an Israel are made in
my gallery.
In august, last year, when I met an Israeli artist at the Exhibition Leopard in St. Tropez,
nobody would have thought that this encounter would lead to a new beginning.
For me, Art, like the universe, has no boundaries. In Art, creativity, talent and diligence
are at the forefront.
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the wonderful organization I.C.U., to its
Chairman Zvi Israel and to its General Director, Lev Kiperman, for having chosen my gallery
in Zofingen to host this exhibition.
So-Un (Han-Kyoung) Lee, Artist and Gallery Owner
Our non-profit association I.C.U. for the promotion of international art is organizing an
exhibition of Israeli artists in the International Gallery So-Un Lee in Zofingen,
Switzerland, from 6 to 20 November 2005. This is one of a series of international
exhibitions designed to encourage and promote cultural contacts among artists.
Twenty four artists will take part in this pluralistic exhibition, with the aim of
presenting a variety of concepts and expression trends of Israeli painters, sculptors and
photographers.
The traditional, classic, modern and postmodern styles of this exhibition are a feast to the eye.
In their creative works, some of these artists touch upon social and ecological problems. Some are preoccupied by the relationship
between color and form while others concentrate on Israeli landscape.
This cultural event, initiated by our organization, is supported and sponsored by the Israeli foreign Ministry and the Israeli Embassy in
Switzerland, as well as by the Rich Foundation for the promotion of cultural contacts between Israel and Switzerland/
